Indianapolis AboutBeth Haggenjos developed and teaches the undergraduate course N199 Directed Study I and N299 Directed Study II which are career planning courses for the Indiana University School of Informatics at IUPUI. In addition to her teaching responsibilities, Haggenjos directs the Career Services Office which handles career planning and counseling for students, all for-credit internships, workshop and event development, assisting employers with internship program start-up and ongoing employment practices, and administration of the job posting system for full-time, internship and part-time positions. She also works with the IUPUI internship counsel to provide a communication level for employers to have the ability to reach across campus to additional schools to provide opportunity for all IUPUI students. Before joining the Informatics staff in 2005, Haggenjos was an associate director of Career Services for the Kelley School of Business Indianapolis, Ind. Haggenjos managed the for-credit and non-credit internship program, advised the Kelley Honors Academy, career-counseled students in career planning, recruited employers to campus, counseled employers on starting internship programs and employment practices, and provided Myers-Briggs Type Indicator workshops to students. Haggenjos was on the Board of Governors of the Midwest Cooperative Education Internship Association since 2003 in roles such as Indiana state director, conference co-chair and membership chair. She is also a member of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, Midwest Association of Colleges and Employers, Cooperative Education Internship Association and the Indiana Council for Internships and Cooperative Education (ICICE). In 2006 she lead the reorganization of the ICICE group and became the first president of the association for the state of Indiana.
